What are you giving up (and/or doing) for Lent? I'm still deciding, but I have some ideas. St. Justin's handed out the Magnificat Lenten Companion at Mass on Sunday, so I think I'll read that each morning. It has a page-long Scripture reflection for each day, along with a short prayer and a suggested penance.
I'm also probably going to visit Busted Halo's Fast Pray Give calendar each day. It's like an Advent calendar, but for Lent, with a brief spiritual contemplation for each day along with suggestions for how to fast, pray, and give--the three things you're supposed to work on during Lent. Busted Halo also has a cool video with a two-minute overview of Lent, which I enjoyed watching:
I'm not sure whether I'll give anything up, per se. Generally, I like to focus on proactively doing things for Lent. I think I'll round out my Lenten practices with a commitment to a daily prayer, such as the Rosary or the Liturgy of the Hours, but I'm not sure yet. Suggestions are welcome--I'd love to hear what you guys are doing!
